Deposit Intent Refund Policy

This policy describes the terms and conditions for the refund applicable to the intention deposit of €20 paid by users on the 10-Chairs website, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. It aims to provide clear and transparent information on the cases in which a refund may be obtained and the procedure to follow.

1. Reminder of the nature of the intention deposit

The €20 intention deposit is not a final purchase of a product. It is an advance payment made by a future customer to express their interest and obtain a discount when the 10-Chairs products are commercially released. In return for this deposit: - The customer will benefit from a €20 discount (equivalent to the deposit paid) on the product price when it goes on sale. - If the product is not marketed within the given timeframe (see section 2 below), the customer may obtain a refund of this deposit.

Aside from legal provisions (right of withdrawal) or the special case of non-marketing, the intention deposit is non-refundable. The customer is free not to use their credit during the purchase of the product, but in this case, they lose the benefit of the deposit without being able to demand a refund.

2. Refund in case of non-marketing by December 31, 2026

The company 10-Chairs Innovations commits to fully refund the deposit of €20 to each customer who has made this deposit if the 10-Chairs products (Lite or Pro) are not marketed by December 31, 2026.

This refund scenario will apply notably in the following situations: - Prolonged project delay: if the launch of the products is postponed beyond the year 2026 for any reason (technical challenges, lack of funding, etc.). - Abandonment of the project: if the Company decides not to commercially launch the 10-Chairs products.

In these cases, each depositor will be refunded the amount of €20, thus avoiding any financial loss on an unfinished project.

Refund terms: - Initiative for the refund: The refund will be initiated by the Company as of January 1, 2027 (or earlier if the decision not to market is officially communicated before this date). You will normally have no action to take, except to confirm your contact details if they have changed. - Method of refund: We will proceed, as far as possible, with the refund via the same payment method that was used during the initial payment. For example, if you paid by PayPal, we will credit your PayPal account; if you paid by credit card, we will issue a refund to this card via our provider. - Customer notification: An informational email will be sent to the email address provided during the deposit to notify you of the initiation of the refund and, if applicable, to request additional information (for example, new banking details if the original payment method is no longer operational). - Delay: The Company will endeavor to refund all deposits within 30 days following the date of 12/31/2026 or following the official announcement of non-launch. The time to show up on your statement will then depend on your bank or PayPal (count a few business days). - Amount: The amount refunded will be exactly €20, without any deductions. No fees will be charged for this refund.

This refund ends the mutual commitment related to the intention deposit: you get your money back, and in return, you will no longer have any credit applicable to a future purchase of the product (since the latter was not launched on time).

3. 14-day withdrawal right

In accordance with the law, any online payment by a consumer benefits from the 14-day withdrawal right in the absence of immediate provision of a good or service. The intention deposit falls within this framework: thus, you have 14 days from the payment of your deposit to change your mind[6].

·         If you exercise this right within the allotted time, we will fully refund the €20 paid, without penalty.

·         You do not have to justify your decision, however, you must notify us clearly (for example, by sending us an email at contact@10-chairs.com indicating that you are withdrawing your deposit, including your name/surname, email used, and payment date).

·         In accordance with regulations, we will proceed with the refund within 14 days following the receipt of your withdrawal request, using the same payment method as initially used, unless agreed otherwise by you.

After this 14-day period, the deposit becomes firm and definitive – you will no longer be able to obtain an early refund except in the case mentioned in section 2 (non-marketing before the end of 2026). We therefore invite you to carefully consider your commitment when paying the deposit, knowing that it implies waiting for the product's release to take advantage of it.

4. Procedure in case of refund request

4.1. Automatic refund (in case of non-marketing): As mentioned in section 2, in the case of non-launch of products before the end of 2026, we will reach out to you ourselves. Just make sure we have an up-to-date email address to contact you. If you have changed your email since your deposit, please let us know at contact@10-chairs.com so you do not miss our communication. The refund will then be processed automatically, using the original payment method.

4.2. Refund upon request (right of withdrawal or other): If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days or request a refund in another specific context (for example, if extraordinarily the Company proposes to refund for a commercial reason), you must explicitly inform us. The simplest way is to send an email to contact@10-chairs.com specifying the subject of your request. We will confirm receipt of your request and keep you informed of the processing (generally very quick for a withdrawal). If you do not receive a response within a few days, do not hesitate to follow up or use another means (mail, phone if applicable).

4.3. Assistance: In case of difficulty (refund not received, abnormally long delay, etc.), our customer service is available for verification. Remember that according to banking channels, a refund by card may take up to 5-10 business days to appear in your account. Similarly, a PayPal refund can be instant on the PayPal balance, but if your account is linked to a card or bank account, there may be a slight transfer delay.

4.4. Proof of purchase: It is recommended to keep the confirmation email of the deposit you received upon the initial payment. Although we have our own records, this document serves as proof and may expedite matters if needed. Generally, a reminder of your PayPal transaction number or the last 4 digits of the card used will be enough for us to locate your payment.

5. Effects of the refund

If a refund of your intention deposit is processed (whether under the right of withdrawal or the automatic refund by the end of 2026), here are the consequences to keep in mind: - Loss of the €20 credit: You will no longer be able to deduct this amount from the product price upon its release. If the product is eventually released, you will have to pay the full price (unless there is another commercial offer) if you wish to purchase it. - Retention on the waiting list: Getting refunded does not necessarily imply the removal of your registration on the waiting list. Unless indicated otherwise by you, we will keep you in the list of emails interested in the project to continue informing you of progress (unless you prefer to unsubscribe). Simply, you will no longer have the status of "supporter who pre-ordered". - Closure of the relationship linked to the deposit: Once the refund is made, the General Terms and Conditions related to the deposit will cease to apply to you. In other words, neither you nor the Company will have any future obligation to each other regarding this deposit (you have retrieved your money; the Company no longer has to grant you a special discount).

6. Final provisions

This Refund Policy is an integral part of the Company’s General Terms and Conditions of Sale. In case of contradiction, the GTC prevails.

The Company reserves the right to amend this Policy in case of changes in conditions or regulations. The applicable version is that in force on the date of your refund request.
